About Us
Founded by Peter Smith in 1999 PES Engineering are the sole authorised distributor for STS Brandschutz in the UK and Ireland.
Over the years as the business has grown we have proudly expanded into a family business.
Peter's 40 years of knowledge and experience in the industry has been filtered down through the generations and all of his children
are now part of the growing team.
Our values
We pride ourselves on expertise, bespoke systems and our client relationships, for which many are over 20 years.
Milestones
1999: Peter started the business and the partnership with STS Brandschutz began, with the help of his wife Caroline an experienced bookkeeper.
2006: STS developed and introduction of a fire detection system according to EN50177 Cat. 3 for powder coating plants.
2007: Pesseng Ltd is born. We keep PES Engineering as the trading name.
2011: Adam (their son) joined the business, working alongside Peter absorbing his industry knowledge.
2014: Touch screen controls introduced.
2016: Suzy (their eldest daughter) came in to help in the office as the business grew. With her background in accountancy she adds finance knowledge to the team.
2019: A new, certified fire detection system corresponding to the current ENxxxxx standards was introduced for the areas of surface technology with new FL9 flame detectors introduced to the UK market.
2020: Toya (their youngest daughter) added marketing skills to the now very busy office.
2021: Chris joined the team to learn the ropes in the technical department.
